i broke my thumbnail the other day and this video is making me quite jealous. Junghans is pretty much living out my dream of living in some sublimely rural area, painting, and playing open tuned guitars all day…sigh

Junghans changed his name to homage to fingerstyle great Robbie Basho. Robbie Basho in turn changed his name to pay tribute to the haiku poet Matsuo Basho. I’d do the same if Basho-Head didn’t sound so lame… perhaps Kottke-Head will have to suffice.
